R.E.L.A.X.

As many Stars fans have realized, it's been an absolutely abysmal start to the 2014-15 campagin for the group of 23.

It started off like last year ended. Held on with one of the elite clubs in the NHL for the first night, only to lose in a shootout. But there was promise and lots of it. The Stars managed to keep the momentum going after a bumpin the road in Nashville and get off to a 4-1-2 start. Everything seemed to be going swell and the losses were not that big of a deal considering they had a winning record.

Or did they.

The slide started in St. Louis where they narrowly lost in overtime to a very good Blues side. Then Anaheim in OT. 4-1-4. Not that bad. Then the real trouble began. The Stars ripped off five straight losses and here we stand at 4-6-4 and scratching our heads wondering what in the world could be going wrong and what we can do to fix it. Fire the head coach, trade this guy, trade that guy, sit this guy, sit that guy.

Stop.

In the words of Aaron Rodgers: RELAX.

It's November, people. Surely we haven't forgotten what happened last season in the month of January, have we? We only won ONE game that month. This isn't hear as bad as that, so let's just stop and look at it in the grand scheme of things. In case some people may not have seen, the Stars have had the hardest schedule in the entirety of the league to begin the season.

It's not like Lindy and Jim Nill trying either. Recently called up John Klingberg was called up, one could think, to light a fire under the back sides of some of the guys on the blue line. The trade for Travis Moen in exchange for Sergei Gonchar so that in Jim Nill's words can "get the younger guys grow into their position."

So let's just take a minute, breathe, and calm down before we declare this season over 14 games into the season.

And with that, I leave you with this parting vdieo:
